Science Fiction

Why do people find science fiction so fascinating? People are very curious and want to explore. Firstly, man wanted to explore the Earth asking why this or that had such rules. We, as human race, are very curious and continue questioning about everything, from what concerns the Earth to discover the whole universe. And I think that it is mainly thanks to our willingness to know and to understand what was at the beginning of time and before we developed in humans. Our imagination, which is probably the biggest one which a living being could have (at least a being living on Earth), takes a big part in this process too.

As everything is continuously developing, the world as such - human race and technologies invented by us, also we as single persons are developing. From a kid to an elder. But our imagination remains developed since childhood, maybe hidden inside us, but sometimes it wakes up and we need to give some 'food' to our creative minds by watching a sci-fi film or reading a science fiction book.

As a kid, when I saw Karel Zeman's 'A Journey into the Primeval of Times', I wanted to transfer myself into that film. I envied the actors and imagined me being in there. And as the child's imagination is big and a fantasy world is endless, I had great experiences every time I watched it. Though, from my point of view, the need of adventure probably is the thing which brings us to live in other worlds and to experience other lives by emerging in a science fiction movie or a book.
