Arguments
Honestly, I don't like arguing. I hardly remember when I argued last time. I prefer the term ´discussion´ over ´arguing´. Maybe, as I am thinking about it, there is one recent topic which I have discussed with another woman. I have heard, not only from this lady, but also from another woman, that young mums and girls from Ukraine coming in our country, will stay here permanently and will 'steal' husbands from the Czech wives. At the beginning I had to think about the lady if she was serious. Unfortunately, she was.
At the first place, I answered that it wasn't their 'free' choice to come here and maybe they would prefer to stay at home or perhaps they wanted to move into another country, but they couldn't. Moreover, if someone asks us for help it is simply our obligation to assist them. I then argued that if a husband decides to 'replace' his wife, he will do so without hesitation regardless of whether his new woman is Czech, Ukraine or of any other nationality. The lady only silently shook her head, but she probably didn't change her opinion and continued to think the same way as before.
I wasn't the winner for sure, but I offered another possible view of the situation. Maybe you can't win over these close-minded people, but you can at least try to make them think about your opinion.
